Description

Not sure where to report this, maybe someone will be kind enough to leave me info on who to contact.. the city, or the ttc.

This has happened on quite a few occasions for me this year with the increase in traffic on Parklawn.

Going north on Parklawn, just north of the Queensway (2 or 3 houses north) there is a bus stop. There is no driveway or boulevard for the buss to pull into, thus, when he stops to pick up or drop off passengers, everyone else behind him is stuck.

This has recently led to traffic backing up into the intersection during light changes. I saw it happen a few days ago, a long line of cars following a bus as it went through the intersection and at the same moment he got to the bus stop, the light turned yellow. Parklawn came to a standstill as east/westbound traffic waited for the bus to leave so all the trapped cars in the intersection could move.

And again this morning, i was in the left turning lane eastbound on queensway turning north onto parklawn. i was about the 6th car in the que. Turns out a northbound bus just made the yellow light, so all of us in the left turn que got stuck in the intersection waiting for the bus to finish it's pickup/dropoff. It ate up the entire length of the left turn green arrow before the bus got underway. I was the last person to finish the left turn.

This bus stop needs to either:
1. Be removed.
2. Be moved further north.
3. Have a boulevard cut out for the bus to be able to pull into and out of to allow traffic to continue around the bus as it's doing it's thing.

/end of rant
